Boyfriend of 7 years is confused and doesnt know if he wants a future

I have been with my boyfriend for 7 years, although we did have an 18 month break about 18 months ago.

We have always been very in love but i suppose i have been quite insecure in the relationship and i have only realized this now and fear that these insecurities could be what is pushing him away now.

Hes an amazing boyfriend but he has a tendency to get very very drunk on occasions and flirts quite a lot with other girls. hence i get upset and we argue, making me look insecure.

He has never given me any reason to doubt him and his family and friends have always told me in the past how much he adores me.

Anyway in the past he has mentioned a future together, however now he has completely changed his tune..

he says he still loves me but doesnt know if we are strong enough to have a future together and i fear this is from when i have displayed insecurities and now i think he wants to break up!

I have read up a bit on these things and have read how men often need to feel trusted and good about the relationship and need the ego massaging etc.

looking back im not sure i ever told him very much how i adored him or how amazing i think he is. We are literally hanging on by a thread and i dont know what to do to keep him.

I have written a poem saying a lot of things ive always wanted to but havent.... will it scare him off even more if i send it to him or will he appreciate it??

Any other suggestions how to keep my man are welcome!
