How long does it take for a woman to know if she loves a man?

I'm 55 she's 43. We've been dating for approximately 6 months but we only see each other once, maybe twice per week because she has two teenage children.

I'm her first relationship since her divorce two years ago. I'm crazy about this girl and I told her quite a few times already that I love her.

I got angry the other day because she never says it back. We had a little spat and she wound up telling me that she does not love me, not yet and that she needs to get to know me better.

I always thought a woman knew fairly quickly one way or the other. She does say very nice things to me though like "When we met I thought you were too good to be true".

She also told me up front that she has a hard time expressing her feelings/emotions.
