Confused, Confused, Confused

by isis
(LA)

Hello, I have been with my boyfriend for almost two years.

About 4 months ago he was given a job offer 5 states away. We were living together with our newly adopted dog and had plans to move to LA and get an apartment up until this "job offer".

Our relationship seemed totally healthy - we did everything together, best friends, etc.

He decided to go alone 3 months ago. He wanted to go to focus on work, it was only a 6 month contract.

He admitted he had insecurities about his profession and within himself. He was hoping this time alone out there would sort this out.

In the meantime we have maintained our long distance relationship, calling each other every few days, lots of 'I love yous', 'I miss yous', etc.

Just last week he told me he's coming back in a few months for sure....BUT, he'd like to do his own thing, live on his own maybe or live at his mom's while he figure's out where to work and he and his mom have to repair their spotty relationship.

But after saying this he said he still wants to see me.

I was floored. I can't understand what happened, why wouldn't he want to move in with me and our dog when he comes home.

I had an emotional fit, hung up on him and he hasn't called me since. It's been 1.5 weeks.

What do I do? I'm scared I scared him away. What does this mean?

Help please.
