A drunk girl is no different from a drunk man. As with a drunk man, all her inhibitions disappear. Caution is thrown to the wind.

Alcohol weakens self-control. Alcohol inhibits skill and ability to differentiate right from wrong.

But wait. What could turn a decent girl into a drunk girl?

Drunkenness is a problem dominant in men. So, what would make a girl get that far with alcohol?

A girl's drunkenness could be a result of . . .

Peer pressure - the desire to belong, the desire to be seen as having come of age like her peers

Seduction strategy by a boy desiring to have her. Alcohol weakens her ability to say "No" so he feeds her enough alcohol to make her lose her senses

Desperation - Some women, like men, hit the bottle when they suffer disappointment such as a breakup with someone they love dearly

The list above is by no means exhaustive.

What does the above tell you?

It is this . . . that a decent girl, a girl known to be well-behaved all her life, can succumb to the pressure of friends or circumstances and become a drunk girl.

Could this happen to you?

Yes, if you let it.

For example, it is a well-known fact that bad association, bad friends or bad company, eventually leads to contamination of the individual.

So, if you keep bad company, if you associate with people known for excessive use of alcohol, sooner or later you will begin to abuse alcohol just like them.

Secondly, how do you react if for some reason you break up with your boyfriend?

That experience can be devastating and heart-shattering, yes.

So, how do you react?

Some girls get so mad they want to do something terrible with themselves. They start by consuming alcohol until they get into a stupor.

If she continues in that routine for longer than necessary, she becomes a drunk girl.

You shouldn't have to fall to drunkenness for any reason. It could ruin your life.

If you doubt that, check out the life of a drunk man around you. He suffers. His entire family also suffers.

My advice?

Make friends with people who love God, people who love goodness. Avoid bad association. They will contaminate you.

I pray you find true love and a man who will cherish you.

However, if for some reason you suffer some setback in your love life, don't resort to becoming a drunk girl . . . don't hit the bottle

Becoming a drunkard will make your situation worse not better.
