I was dating this guy for about 5 months then we broke up because he was moving back to Atlanta.

He came back just recently after a year and told me he had a 6 month old baby.

He's 18 and I'm 16.

He wants me to be the step mom. I'm confused and scared.

What should I do?

This man is asking you to be the step mom of the 6 month old baby at 16 years of age.

Are you prepared for that?

What about the mother of the baby? Is he planning to abandon her after getting her pregnant?

The baby's mother needs all the support she can get at this trying time. She has a baby out of wedlock - think about the shame of that!

Now the boy, instead of supporting her to cope with the trauma, wants to abandon her for you.

It's not fair. He should accept responsibility for the baby and stick with the other girl - he's a father now.

What about you?

It's your choice whether to accept his offer or not. Before you reach your decision, think about the plight of the baby's mother.

If he hadn't moved away, it could have been you with a baby. How would you have felt if he had abandoned you?

Think straight. Tell him to do what's right. Tell him to go take care of his baby and the mother.

Find a man who will be dedicated to you whether you're present or not.
