i like this guy and don't know how to tell him

i have liked this for about half way last year and i still have not told him well i think he does by know but i don't know.

He says hey to me and i just turn around and he asks me where am i going. we don't talk but even if we did i dont know how to talk to him. i really like and i dont know and i can't stop thinking of him even if i wanted to.

our formal is coming up and i don't know what to do. my friends think i should talk to him but i can't even look at him.

could u pleaze help. i still like him and my best friend is his best friend.
