Sounds like he and I are just alike. I love this boy who is really close to me (but has a crush on one of my ex best friends) and god sometimes I think I just might slip up and tell him how much I care so instead I joke and say how much I hate him. I'm scared to let him know how I feel, and let him get any closer to me, so I kid around and lie to myself and say I hate him. Your boy is just shy, and probably is head over heels for you.

Okay well i've been in love with this boy for 6 years now. we are really good friends we dated in the past but we didn't last due to wanting to date other people. he dated other girls and i dated other boys but through all of our different realtionships we still tell each other we love one another and wil always love each other and stuff like that. i want to know how do i find out if he loves me the same why i love him. oh and i almost forgot to mention he lives in Alberta and i live in Ontario. :( but i still love him regardless.

It is natural for a guy to do that. He is just shy and afraid that if he tells you that he likes you that you will reject him. Here is what I tell ALL my friends and acquaintances to do. Give him your phone #. If he calls that is a good start that's sign #1 . That means he just may like you. If he doesn't there is not a chance he is interested. When he calls just be casual and be like "Hey how's it going? What are you doing? Did you have a good day?" Then start by being like so tell me about your girlfriend. If he says he doesn't have one that is sign #2. Then say do you have your eye on anyone. If he says a girls name that isn't yours he don't like you. If he says nope that is a good chance but if he says yeah and then "you" That is a sign from him to ask him out. But if in the occasion he says "no" then just wait and then the next day at work/school say "Oh call me again today" If he does THAT is when you ask him. Not the first time he calls because then he may think you are pushy and will not like you. I really hoped I helped and that you and that guy have the best of luck ♥

I have a similiar situation. Where one of my good friends would make fun of me all the time and crack jokes...secretly i found out he had feelings for me and that was just his way of showing it.

It seems to me he has feelings for you in some way. Basically what I did was just ask my friend if he really had a problem with me and asked why he always made fun of me. He ended up telling me how he felt about me so goodluck.

I am in this EXACT position. I know your answer. i KNOW that the guy im dealing with has feelings for me, because of the way he acts. Well you really wont know until you talk to him. and tell him how you feel. but when you tell him dont tell him in front of friends then he will make a big deal out of it and you will be looking crazy. so let him know. you need to tell him before its to late.
