im in love with a man and i dont know where its going

I'm in love with a man i know for three years. when i first met him he had a girl, now he's single and we started to hang out and have sex for about a month.

This went on then i told him we cant anymore cause i was starting to get feelings for him so we havent. then he proceeds to buy two puppies and keeps them at my house and comes everyday to pick them up but by this happening i'm falling even more in love with him even with no sex.

I'm in love with him. i dont know what to do. i dont want to get hurt. i take care of the puppies and i love them so. its the double hurt cause i love him and the puppies.

i told him how i feel he knows, and says right now he dont want a relationship with anyone cause he dont want anyone to go through anything with his ex who is giving him a hard time and its not fair for him to let me get involved.

i told him to take the dogs out of my home its just we've been such good friends i dont want to ruin that either and he says the same thing he dont want to ruin what we have as a friendS either.

And all i keep doing is fighting with him, cause for me its better for him to take his puppies who i love and just go and let me get over him if he dont want a relationship, cause for me that would be easier then to see him everyday.

But he dont understand where im coming from. what do i do?
