I'm in love with my friend but sometimes he gets really cold

I found myself falling for my friend. Sometimes, i feel as if he might feel the same way but i get really confused when he gets a bit flirty with other girls at school.

He's become surprisingly "chivalrous" these days like offering to drive me to a place i need to go to or carrying stuff for me.

But sometimes, he gets really cold and he just won't talk to me unless i go first. Sometimes he just throws glances at me or just smiles.

I don't want to over-analyze things but it just gets really frustrating especially when you're with the person every day.

How does one discern when a guy is giving hints that he likes you or he's just being a nice or flirty friend anyway?

Sometimes ladies mistake courtesy, good manners, and good etiquette for love.

A cultured guy will treat a lady nicely, with care and compassion. And if he is your friend, he will go the extra mile to be nice to you.

However, this friendship is not the same as love. Romantic love is much deeper.

It is that sense of attachment, that emotionally connection that you never want to go away. It is that feeling to be with someone forever.
