IS HE THE ONE?

I have been dating a great guy for the past year. He is loving, spontaneous and we get along great.

The problem is that I like to have some "structure" in my life.

I am young still, age 23, and I have a 40 hour a week job, benefits, apt with friends.

He has been giving me a lack of crap for not moving in with him this past month as he tries to find a job in the area. He recently moved home and is doing well in real estate.

We have been doing distance for the last few months and I feel like everything I say and do is wrong. He has lived with a girlfriend prior to me and I feel like he doesn't understand I am not ready for this yet.

I do love him and want to be with him but I do not know if we are too different in what we want.

Is there any advice to give?

I have strong career aspirations and I want to commit and I am trying but I feel like nothing is enough short of living with him.

What do you suggest?

Should You Move In With Him?

Living with him prior to marriage is your personal decision. But know that it has consequences.

In today's liberal world, women moving in with men to whom they are not married has become a common feature.

However, the reality is that women who consent to that arrangement regret it down the road. Some years later, he may get bored with you and walk out of your life like he did his previous girlfriend that moved in with him.

If he pressures you and say you don't love him because you refuse to move in with him, simply understand that he's employing the use of emotional blackmail.

To tell you the truth, moving in with a man to whom you're not married is demeaning - you cheapen yourself. DON'T DO IT.

If you honestly feel that your worlds are miles apart, re-consider the value of the relationship to you. Perhaps he is not the one for you.

As a rule of thub, the man made just for you - 1. Appreciates you - 2. Values your opinion - 3. Respects your right to be different - 4. Seeks to please you and make you happy - 5. Loves you - 6. Is reasonable, is yielding, lets you have your way many times over - 7. tender and affection, considerate, patient, and empathetic.

That is the kind of man you need - the kind of man who will make you happy.

If you current boyfriend does not meet this criteria, he is not the right man for you.
