I'm actually in almost the same exact situation you are in. Trust me, don't let him go or have your feelings fade. It'd just devour you from the inside out..
The only differences between our situations are that my love is a few months younger than I am and that we live across the world from eachother. Also similar with your situation, the guy I love doesn't want to mention me to his parents because he'll probably get crap about our situation, but hold strong, don't give up.
