Made a new "friend"

I have been going to this cafe since it has opened and it has been almost two years. And there is a worker there that I often talk to. Just casual conversation.

But I have known him thru customer relationship for almost one year and recently we have just traded numbers to keep in contact.

I didn't think anything of it, but he seem to be giving me "interesting looks" and when it comes to reading a guy's mind, I'm really blunt.

But on our first "hang out" he had held my hands twice, but it was really short times. It wasn't like he was helping me to get up or anything, but he simply put out his hand and I held onto his hand.

It felt nice, but when i ask him if he often held hands with girls he hangs out with, he said he usually don't hold people's hands, but according to him, he wanted to feel what its like to hold my hand.

I found that strange, but I didn't know what to think of it. The next day, he gave me a call and ask to come out with him after his work and hang out for a couple of days.

At least, he texted and I didn't reply but then he called. And i came out to meet him. And he became jealous when we ran into my ex. I didn't think he would since...we're just friends. or I think we are.

I don't know what to think or say... I don't want to read much into our "new friendship" but there are things I want to understand.
