My boyfriend has an intimacy issue

My boyfriend cannot perform in bed anymore due to some health reasons. My question is why is he meeting with other women outside our relationship?

Is it pride because according to him his having a hard time accepting the fact? I tried leaving him but he wanted to me to stay and told me the truth about his problem.

I knew that he had problem we have been together for years and I know its hard for him....but I dont get it.
