My Boyfriend Is Mean To Me. What Should i do?

My boyfriend is mean to me all the time. He use to be nice. Now he is all mean to me because he is jealous all the time.

He says he will go say hi to his square dancing partner and it makes me mad. He also made me cry a lot of time but i still love him.

Is he always mean?

If no, what happens that makes him turn ugly and mean?

You say he s jealous. Why is he jealous? Does he suspect you still have a relationship with your ex? Does he suspect you are having an affair? Is there a place you visit that arouses his suspicion?

You need to identify what drives his jealousy so you can minimize or eliminate those things and therefore his jealousy.

What can you do?

1. Try and understand the root cause of his jealousy and mean behaviour

2. Work out a plan to minimize the incidences of jealousy.

Remember it's difficult to change people. But if you change what you do, how you do the things you do, or when you do the things you do, it may have a positive impact on his attitude and the relationship. As the saying goes "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction".

3. Stay and endure the pain of his meanness or separate

Work hard to keep the relationship loving and successful. But if it still doesn't work and his mean behaviour threatens your life, then perhaps it is best to quit.
