My Girlfriend Broke Up With Me
I took a new friend on a climbing trip to the Sierra and climbed Mt. Whitney (highest point in the US).
As we were approaching the summit, I stopped, turned and kissed her. That changed everything.
No one had ever been that deeply in love with me. The next three months were better than anything I could have dreamed!
She would text and email me the greatest messages and we both planned to spend the rest of our lives together. No talk of marriage or anything just yet. We are not kids.
There was a deep love for each other. Then without any warning she broke up with me saying she wanted to be alone. During the three months we never had an argument.
A few facts:
She was married and divorced three times before turning 40.
She said I was perfect, but there's nothing I could have done to prevent the break up.
She never lied to me.
I treated her like gold and she treated me like gold. We had a lot of common interests.
Here's what I think happened:
She was not looking or wanting a serious relationship based on her past. She met me and went crazy over me suppressing her true feelings of wanting to be alone.
At three months her true feelings came back and she broke up with me.
Do you think I am correct?
The above may sound obvious, but to have someone that crazy over you and then suddenly break up is perplexing. Thanks for your input.
