My Girlfriend Is Texting Her Ex Boyfriend

Me and my girlfriend have been together for over a year and we met at college and we live in different states.

Since she has been home she told me her ex-boyfriend has been texting her and she has been texting him back. She tells me she loves me and I have nothin to worry about and they are just old friends.

But the fact that this is going on is bothering the heck out of me.

I try to be cool but I have put alot into our relationship and I dont want anything to screw it up.

Any advice will be helpful? thanks

This can be a terible thing considering that you have put a lot into the relationship.

I suggest you have a heart to heart discussion with her about this. Ask her how she would feel if you were texting your ex girlfriend (if you had one) or texting another girl.

Would she be happy about this?

Then tell her how her actions make you feel.

She may think you are just jealous and over possessive or she may decide to cut of the relationship with her ex.

Whatever she decides to do, don't freak out.

Honestly, its challenging to completely cut off talking with someone you've loved for months or years. They may have had a deep connection before the breakup. So you may need to show some understanding.

I suggest you show some understanding and trust her to make the right decisions after you have shared your concerns with her.

Remember, you can't change people unless they decide to change. You can take a horse to the river but you can't force it to drink.

So, provide her support, share your concerns, show your undying love, and trust her to do the right thing.
