So Sick of Love Songs
Many people get so sick of love songs because they feel love songs are far from realistic.
Love songs tend to paint the ideal situation. You hear words like . . .
|
You make my dreams come true
I'll die for you
If loving you is wrong, I don't wanna be right
I'll love you forever
My lonely days are gone
I will die loving you
You're the girl/man of my dreams
Distance cannot come between us
And on and on. There seems to be no end to the list of love songs and the powerful emotions
they advocate.

Having heard so much love songs, people fall in love with great expectations. Unfortunately,
many of them end up with a broken heart.
The result?
They become so sick of love songs that some discard a large part of their collection.
You may feel that way too. Especially when you consider the fact that love song artists
do not have stable relationships themselves.
Isn't this ironic?
Love songs artists tell us to love, to sacrifice, to give everything we've got for
love. And they make millions of dollars from these hit tracks that we enjoy and love.
But then they don't practice what they preach. They jump from one relationship to the other
unwilling to do the things they sing so beautifully about.
No wonder many people are so sick of love songs!
Nevertheless, there's something you can learn from love songs.
The love emotions you hear about in many love songs are true. When you're in the grip of love,
you can do weird things - all in the name of love.
The sacrifice part is also true. When you decide to fall in love, you give away a part of
your freedom. You don't just do what you like when you like it anymore. You have to consider
your partner's best interest before taking any decision. You live for each other when you're
in love.
Some love songs are about heartbreak. That part is also true. Your lover may not keep his
promises. He may cheat on you or walk away from the relationship when you need him most.
And this can tear at your heart.
Here's the part that get many people so sick of love songs.
The part that makes love seem like its a damn easy ride and . . .
The part that confuse love with sex. These songs tell you to set yourself free and go
for it. It's called sexual healing.
All in all, you can learn quite a lot from love songs. Yes, you may still get so sick about
love songs . . . love songs that do not add real value.
What should you do?
Take the good stuff. Discard the bad and unrealistic love songs.
It's your happiness that matters. And you won't get it by listening to songs that destroy
value or corrupt your thinking.
