Unfortunately, the ideal man is difficult to find. How do you know the perfect man anyway?

How do you know if your dream man is indeed the ideal man for you?

Well, let's begin by defining perfection in practical terms.

Perfection is an ideal situation where everything is just the way it should be . . . no flaws, no irregularities.

Under a perfect state or condition, there is seamless integration and functioning of all elements and components.

In the light of this definition, perfection is not possible. We strive for perfection. We aim for the ideal state. But perfection is still not achievable. It's an illusion.

Bottom line.

There is no such thing as a perfect man. No man is perfect. The ideal man is not a perfect man but he comes close.

Understanding this is absolutely important to placing your priorities right.

No man is perfect, yes. But some come closer to perfection than others. The closer your man is to perfection the better for you and the relationship.

Let's call that man that is closest to perfection a perfect man.

What makes a man the perfect man or the ideal man?

The ideal man meets some minimum criteria of behavior. This criteria is usually defined by you. However, virtually every girl wants about the same thing.

You want to be happy. You want the man you love, your ideal man, to stay with you forever.

You don't ever want him to leave . . . not for any reason.

What you want is essentially what every other girl wants. There are slight variations, of course. But basic yearnings for a loving and caring man remains the same for every girl irrespective of language, color, place of birth, religion . . . and a gazillion other factors.

So, let's list the qualities of the ideal man.

The perfect man, is the man that is . . .

Honest and trustworthy

Committed to you and you alone

Hardworking and resilient in the face of challenges

Firm and decisive

Loving

Sharing and caring

Dedicated to selfless service to you and your children

Considerate

Humble

Places his wife and children's priorities above that of his extended family

Forward thinking and proactive. He plans ahead for family needs.

Places his family above work

Not devoted to alcohol or drugs

God-fearing and

Simple man.

His lifestyle is uncluttered and uncomplicated. He's simply simple.

Respectful. He respects his wife and her opinions

. . . the list is by no means exhaustive.

However, you will notice my focus is on virtues that add lasting value to the relationship and not outward appearance.

I'm sure you understand why.

Virtues last. Outward appearance fade with time. So, while good looks is okay, your man's personality is of greater importance.

Add your thoughts to the list above. But focus on spiritual virtues not material things that have limited value.
