there is this boy I like. And I told Him I Like Him. What Next?

There is this lad I like and my friend Becky always tells me he likes me (she sits at the back of the class and she says he looks at me alot) but he had a girlfriend who are always on and off.

he is very popular and I'm not so...also my confidence and social skills are poor.

anyway, it was getting too much so I asked if I could speak to him alone, but his friends have other ideas because they followed him.

Jon-Paul told them to go and they did after a while, but I think they kept a little close.

I'll tell you everything I can remember about the convo

JP: sorreh about that
I kinda just gava a weak smile
JP: so what did you want to talk to meh about...?
Me: Umm....
JP then got a phone call. He said to them to wait 5 mins...then hung
JP: Sorreh...go on
Me: listen...I really shouldn't be telling you this considering you have a girlfriend-

JP: Oh no...I dumped her...she's been cheating on me ALOT

Me: eww ... thats low...

JP: yea it is ... what were you saying?

Me: ( I turned to avoid his gaze ) I think you are really really annoying (because he always does stuff like taking my pen or pushing the back of my chair up and down and up and down) but I like you
JP: You like me...?
Me: Yea...sorreh...
JP: Why are you sorreh? that was really nice what you just said

I kinda kept quiet then his mates shouted him and he replied 'one minute'. he then held out his arms
JP: come here
he said before hugging me ... then he had to go

He is in most of my classes maths , science, english, re... I can't avoid him forever

this was two days ago he had a pe exam yesterday and today I couldn't even look at him in maths...

we had to go into the computer room to do coursework and all the laptops were taken and most of the computers so Chelsea (friend)sat down in one of the three empty spaces left on the far end so I HAD to sit at the left of her which was only one empty space away from JP

JP: Shazzo Lennie (he's a very loud boy)
he greeted me

I gave him one quick glance and a pathetic 'hi'

I have no Idea what to do... and you know his mates...? they have told people...I think they heard because I made him promise not to tell anybody just before he left...I trust him not to but I'm not exactly experienced in these situations...

So you like him even though he sometimes get on your nerves.

Now you've told him you like him. And he said that was nice of you to have told him that.

What next?

I am guessing that he likes you in his own kind of way.

So, why are you shy or scared?

There's no big deal. He's now officially your friend. And friends talk to each other.

Have you noticed the way his friends call out to him? Do they sound scared, shy, or short of words?

Now you have joined his circle of friends. Call out to him when you need him. Shake hands, talk, gist. But be a lady. Be discreet.

Greet him with your eyes looking straight into his. Project yourself as having good self esteem. Be straight with him. Be honest.

That is what friendship is all about.
