Will He Be Back? Should I Give Up On Him?

I was seeing this guy for about 5 months and I would consider him my boyfriend even though we did not officially say we were "boyfriend" and "girlfriend".

Out of the blue he broke up with me and said he was going to start dating someone whom he had dated in the past and to make a long story short I find out he is calling her his girlfriend on facebook.

I do not know what to do.

Was he confused? Should I give up on him?

I do really love him.
